Controls
Every system installed in a building requires some method of control. Often this control method is adequate for the stand alone unit but when integration across other systems is required a third party control mechansism may be required. Home Automation systems can provide different levels of control to suit each application.
Methods of control come in the following format:
- Touch screen (Crestron/AMX)
- IR control
- RF Control
- Push Button control
- PLC
All systems are manufactured with a control unit, but to achieve full integration, various third party controls can be installed to provide a solution. Along with providing a control interface the control unit must also adhere to other criteria such as:
- User friendly to accommodate different operators,
- Reliable,
- Efficient
- Aesthetically pleasing
